Toddler beds come in various shapes, sizes and designs, the key qualities they all have in common are:

2. Convertible beds
This is a bed liked by most parents because it grows along with the child. It can be converted into a toddler bed with two side rails, or into a daybed with one rail and later a full size bed with a headboard and footboard. They come in various colors and are made of wood. The most common colors for convertibles are: oak, cherry, white or black painted wood. 3. Plastic bed:
Most toddler beds are made out of plastic. They are the same size as wooden beds and may have headboard, footboard and guard rails on the sides. 4. Canopy bed:

5. Travel/Portable bed:
For families on the go, this is a good choice as their toddler gets to travel with their bed wherever they go. A portable bed comes in either a padded foam mattress or an inflatable mattress that can easily be folded and stored. A foam padded toddler bed has bumper sides that will cushion the toddler if they roll in their sleep.
